The role of Mozaek Studios team members at Aventis Pharmaceuticals was to architect a central content repository serving Web disease portals covering numerous pathologies. The content management portion of the project was built on the Vignette CMS, while back-end data exchange components required entirely new thinking and ingenuity.
The timing of this project and the work produced from it placed our team squarely in the center of emerging XML data exchange technologies. These technologies accommodated news feeds from suppliers such as Reuters and InteliHealth, and provided open-ended, platform-independent, secure access to all associated client applications.
The XML data exchange platform produced from this project were later licensed for use by WebVision on behalf of several of its marquee clients and marketed in shrink-wrap form as WEBtropolis XDE.
